You may have noticed (or not) that I have begun deleting the stock and texture photos from this gallery. The reason for that is simply that I have finally gotten around to putting them up at my SunStock account. I hope those of you who favorited them on this account will do so again on the other.

The only one I'm undecided on is my door stock... because OibyrdsDDs featured it... Ahhh decisions decisions.

Why I suddenly sprouted a favorites gallery, and most all of it is within a 20-mile radius...

Well I was born in Isla Vista, California. On Trigo Road, if it matters. I grew up in Isla Vista/Goleta/Santa Barbara and Lompoc.

Lately I've been very, very homesick.

I miss the smell of the sage.

I miss the golden summer hills.

I miss the shooting star wildflowers.

I miss the perfectly clear days when you could see the Channel Islands crisp and clear.

I miss the sound of the traffic on Highway 101.

I miss the tide pools.

I miss the Summer Solstice Parade.

I miss State Street.

I miss hiking up to Little Pine Mountain.

I miss Camino Cielo off Highway 154.

I miss being able to ride my bike everywhere.

I miss the shaved ice at SOS market.

I miss the Isla Vista Foot Patrol.

I miss Sam's To Go sandwiches (small 13, no lettuce, onion, pickles or peppers).

I miss La Jicora (got replaced by Burger King).

I miss horseback riding near Cachuma Lake.

I miss being able to walk home from school in 3rd grade and it was safe to do so.

I miss riding my bike out to Deveraux Point and to UCSB.

I miss the smell of eucalyptus.

I miss the monarchs.

I miss Puppy, the '71 Volkswagen Bug that I grew up with and later drove.

I miss the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum, and the Botanical Gardens.

I miss California.

Well, it's been a while since I came here to upload, and it'll be a little while yet. I get internet on Tuesday, and I have a whole bunch of pictures to put up, including some stock shots. Don't forget my main account is over at in case anyone wants to bug me there
